Our Story

 

JT was born in 1980 in an entrepreneurial family. His father had owned a bicycle shop and in 1985 purchased a Suzuki motorcycle franchise. Let’s think about what happened in the mid-to-late 80's with Suzuki....this was the birth of the GSX-R -- the sportbike that changed the game in all sportbikes. The RM's were kicking butt on the motocross track and then the rolls in the Quad Racer in the ATV genre. Suzuki was unstoppable, and what a time it was to be hanging out at the motorcycle shop after school and on Saturdays. How could he not be hooked?

He personally started riding at the age of six on his 1986 Suzuki, JR 50. From then on, he wouldn’t be without some sort of motorcycle for the rest of his life. It was the normal upgrading as any early rider has -- from small dirt bikes to bigger and then as soon as he was legal to ride on the street, he got a Puch Maxi.  The only kid in town on a moped.  

JT's first venture was a snow plow business for which he used his Suzuki quadrunner. What a blast to be making money while riding your quad in your teenage years. He just always had a passion for riding anything he could.  So it was no surprise when he decided to check out the watercraft scene and race in the IJSBA, on a Sea Doo XP.

But eventually it all came full circle back to motorcycles. Whether it was riding the backcountry roads or attending the Yamaha Champion Riding School learning how to ride track, he just absorbed it all and wanted more of everything motorcycle. Even his barbershop that he opened in 2005 has no denying for his passion with a motorcycle in the window, gas tanks hanging on the wall and random parts around where people observe like they’re at a museum. Now in 2024, he is very proud to announce JT’s Moto Co. The company is based off function and fashion for every motorcycle rider. You will witness products being released in the market to make your life better whether you’re on or off road. He has the rider in mind with every product. His execution comes from his own rider experience as well as cumulative rider data to better your every mile.
